Analysis of 6-pentyl-alpha-pyrone (6-PP) production in T. atroviride wild type and ∆pks1 mutants. High-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) analysis of extracts from T. atroviride WT and pks1 deletion mutants (∆pks1A, ∆pks1B, ∆pks1C). Control (PDA), WT, and ∆pks1 mutants were incubated for 96 h at 25 °C under reduced light conditions. Metabolites were extracted from the agar and separated by HPTLC.
